7.68kW Home Solar Panels and Battery Storage Installation in Godalming

Home Solar and Battery Storage Project

Green Eco Group completed a home solar panel and battery storage installation for a semi-detached house in Godalming, GU7. The system combines a 7.68kW solar PV array with SigenStor battery storage, creating a complete setup for generating and storing electricity at the property.

The installation includes 16 AIKO 480W solar panels, an 8kW Sigenergy hybrid inverter and 19.08kWh of SigenStor battery storage, together with online monitoring and MCS certification.

Project Features:

  • 7.68kW Solar PV System
  • 16 x 480W AIKO Solar Panels
  • 8kW Sigenergy Hybrid Inverter
  • 19.08kWh SigenStor Battery Storage
  • Online Monitoring

Project Overview:

7.68kW Solar PV and SigenStor Battery Storage System

The Godalming project involved the installation of a residential solar PV and battery storage system for a semi-detached house. Sixteen AIKO solar panels, each rated at 480W, were installed to create a combined 7.68kW solar PV system. The panels were positioned on the property’s south-facing flat roof, making practical use of the available roof area for solar generation.

8kW Sigenergy Hybrid Inverter

At the centre of the installation is an 8kW Sigenergy hybrid inverter. The inverter manages electricity generated by the solar panels and works with the connected battery storage system. This allows the solar array and battery storage to operate together as one home energy setup, supporting the flow of electricity between solar generation, household use and battery charging.

19.08kWh SigenStor Battery Storage

The property also has 19.08kWh of SigenStor battery storage. The battery can store surplus solar electricity for use later, rather than relying only on electricity at the time it is generated. The amount of stored electricity available will depend on solar generation, household demand and the way the system is configured.

Online Solar and Battery Monitoring

Online monitoring was included as part of the installation. This gives the homeowner access to system information and makes it easier to view solar generation, battery activity and general performance. It also provides a simple way to check how the solar panels, inverter and battery storage are working together.

One-Day MCS Certified Installation

Green Eco Group completed the installation in one day. The completed solar and battery system is MCS certified, providing recognised certification for the renewable energy installation.

Solar Panels for a South-Facing Flat Roof

This project shows how solar panels and battery storage can be installed on a semi-detached property with a south-facing flat roof. By combining 16 AIKO panels with a Sigenergy hybrid inverter, SigenStor battery storage and online monitoring, the property now has one connected residential solar and battery system based on the supplied project requirements.
