Home Solar and Battery Storage Project

Green Eco Group completed a home solar panel and battery storage installation for a detached house in New Malden, KT3. The system combines a 4.75kW solar PV array with Tesla and Fox ESS battery equipment, creating a complete setup for generating and storing electricity at the property.

The installation includes 10 AIKO 475W solar panels, an 11.04kW Tesla Powerwall 3, two Tesla Expansion Packs, a Tesla Gateway and 40.5kWh of Fox ESS battery storage, together with online monitoring and MCS certification.

Project Overview:

4.75kW Solar PV and Battery Storage System

The New Malden project involved the installation of a residential solar PV and battery storage system for a detached house. Ten AIKO solar panels, each rated at 475W, were installed to create a combined 4.75kW solar PV system. The panels were positioned on the property’s south-facing pitched roof, making use of the available roof area for solar generation.

11.04kW Tesla Powerwall 3

The installation includes an 11.04kW Tesla Powerwall 3 as part of the home energy system. The Powerwall works with the solar installation to support the storage and management of electricity generated at the property.

Two Tesla Expansion Packs

Two Tesla Expansion Packs were also included within the installation. These form part of the wider battery setup and increase the amount of stored energy available within the overall system configuration.

Tesla Gateway

A Tesla Gateway was installed to support the operation and management of the Tesla equipment. The Gateway forms part of the connected energy system and helps coordinate the way the solar generation and battery equipment work together.

40.5kWh Fox ESS Battery Storage

The project brief also includes 40.5kWh of Fox ESS battery storage. This battery capacity provides additional stored energy within the overall installation, allowing electricity to be retained for later use depending on solar generation, household demand and system settings.

Online Monitoring and MCS Certification

Online monitoring was included as part of the installation, giving the homeowner access to useful system information and general performance data. The completed installation is also MCS certified.

Two-Day Installation in New Malden

Green Eco Group completed the project in two days. By combining a 4.75kW AIKO solar PV array with Tesla Powerwall equipment, Tesla Expansion Packs, a Tesla Gateway and Fox ESS battery storage, the property now has a connected solar and battery system based on the supplied project requirements.

I went to a number of companies for quotes and did a fair bit of due diligence before selecting GreenEco - particularly as their quote came in quite a bit lower than others.
In these early days, Tarren and his team were always available to answer my queries, provide updated quotes and meet my needs.  I ended up with an 8 panel 3.8kW Aiko system, Sigenstor 6kW inverter and 10kWh battery with a view to future ASHP running.
Malcolm came out and surveyed - very knowledgeable and structural information was all checked in accordance with MCS requirements.
Lucy took over communications and kept me in the loop on all proceedings - a bit of a wait while I awaited an LDC from Lewisham (my choice and arrangement) - but they were ready to install as soon as it came through.
Scaffold up in advance and the installation team did all the work in one day. Clean, tidy and friendly and good handover of Sigenstor App and instructions.
I'm now exporting and running the house on zero electrical imports  - long live the Summer!

The team were friendly, helpful and easy to deal with throughout. They explained everything clearly without overcomplicating it, answered any questions I had, and kept me updated along the way. I never felt under pressure, which made a big difference when making the decision. Aaron was amazing and super helpful with all my questions and patient with my indecisiveness!

Installation day went smoothly. They arrived when they said they would, got on with the job, and left everything tidy afterwards. The standard of work looks really good.

Since having the system installed, everything has been working well and I’m really pleased I went ahead with it.

The team were very helpful and Tarren especially was incredibly helpful from the order stage right through to some small niggles after install, which I may say was not down to him. All sorted out in very short order.
The 2 installers worked there socks of and completed the install in a day. All very neat and tidy work.
